Woolshed

Woolshed is dedicated to our lovely ladies who knit for us from their homes in the Yorkshire dales and surrounding areas, and as far as Cumbria and Scotland; and since Woolshed's launch in the summer of 2005, the increase in fabulous, experienced knitters has grown. We now have some wonderful ladies knitting as far as Plymouth and Northern Ireland.

Without their support and hard work we would not have got this far.

Our aim is to design and produce lovingly hand knitted garments, blankets and gorgeous other things, that can be treasured and will last for a long time.

Our wool is sourced in from English wool mills, traditionally dyed and sent directly to our knitters. We carefully select high quality wool and cotton, and use only natural fibres for our knits. The variety of wools and cottons used should give you a choice to enjoy and wear our knitwear all year round.

We have taken inspiration from some antique designs of the 50's and 60's, to produce well fitted and luxurious feeling pullovers, as well as loose floppy easy to wear stuff.

We have taken a nostalgic look at old teddies and pram blankets and created lovely rich coloured patchworks and stuffed toys that will love being cuddled.

All the toys are 100% cotton and machine washable. All our woolshed work is hand knitted like granny used to make so please don't expect it to be without the occasional knot. Slight variations in the colours of the wool may occur, and our shades may change according to the availability of the colour. This will not change the overall look or feel of any items we produce.
