Launched publicly at the start of 2011, Design Instinct is a new design company based in Container City in London's Docklands. With a focus on the design of innovative interior lighting, the aim of the company is to lead the way in creating unique, forward thinking and thoroughly modern products using cutting edge manufacturing processes.
The company ethos extends beyond the development of innovative and unique products: they source almost all their suppliers from within the UK, and all their products are assembled in their East London studio. The company helps support recent graduates and design students through licensing opportunities, design competitions and guest lectures.
Design Instinct also aims to promote environmental awareness in modern British design; many of their products are made from recycled or recyclable material and all are supplied with eco-friendly packaging.
