Alice Eden

Collected in a magpie like fashion, from the hills of Vietnam and bazaars of Bangkok to deserted pacific beaches and the depths of her Grandmothers' embroidery box;
Alice Eden uses an eclectic mix of unique materials sourced, found and gathered from the far corners of the globe to to create pieces of intrigue and wonder.

Alice's fascination for jewellery began with a childhood spend intently watching her grandfather sawing, hammering and filing away at his kitchen table, creating objects of desire that filled her grandmothers jewellery box and made her face light up with joy.

After initially training in fashion at Epsom College of Art, she worked within photography & advertising before leaving it all behind in search of the open road and a solo expedition around the world followed.
A silversmithing course in Thailand and jewellery training at London Metropolitan University on her return, sealed her future as a jewellery designer.

Inspired by native American culture and from the hunters and gatherers of indigenous Australia, Alice combines intricate Thai silver and antique Indian beads, clustered together with delicate shells, sequins and rare,
semi-precious stones.
Recent collections have been inspired by the sea and all the weird and wonderful creatures that live deep within.

Constantly searching for new & unusual objects to use in her designs, her work reflects a love of travel and a passion for all things that glisten.
